Singapore-based KrisEnergy Ltd, an independent upstream oil and gas company, was established in September 2008 to create value across a diversifed portfolio of assets in Southeast Asia, where increasing primary energy consumption is underpinned by healthy economic growth.

Our strengths lie in the long-standing experience of our people who each have a proven track record of technical excellence in the  discovery, appraisal, development and production of hydrocarbon resources. KrisEnergy has the in-house technical expertise and regional relationships and knowledge to identify and capture value across the E&P life cycle.

In June 2009, KrisEnergy became a portfolio company of U.S.-based private equity energy specialists, First Reserve Corporation. Under the shareholder agreement, First Reserve Fund XII, L.P. will commit up to US$500 million of equity capital to fund acquisitions and the operations of KrisEnergy.
